Hello. Does anyone know how to copy PROJECT data
including the gantt portion, onto a POWERPOINT slide?

You can export the Project data to a GIf or JPEG file using the snapshot
tool and import that into PowerPoint.

Thank you. I tried that and it worked pretty well,
although the image was not as clear as we would have
liked. But for our presentation today it saved me. Thanks
again. Is there a way to use a copy picture function?
Just wondering....

If you use an image editor like Photoshop or something more basic, you can
opt to choose the 'For Printer' option - this will copy the image to the
clipboard - get back to Photoshop - choose File | New (Photoshop
automatically chooses the new file size based on the dimensions of the image
within the clipboard) - then choose Edit | Paste and save to an image file
format.

You can save to a GIF file straight from Project as well.

In MS Project, you can use the Copy Picture button on the toolbar or under
the Edit menu to copy a picture of your current view to the clipboard. Then
just paste it into PowerPoint. Thsi is by far the easiest way to get the
graphical view from Project into PowerPoint.
