Regularly, I am copying data manually from Exchange to a .PST file.
(fyi...I am not an MS Exchange Administrator, just a 'user' of
Exchange) I do this because I need my Outlook data available when out
in the field and not connected to the corporate network.
Currently, I am performing the following steps manually in Outlook:
1. Empty contents of Calendar,Contacts, Notes and Tasks folders in
MyBackup.PST
2. Manually dragging the Calendar,Contacts, Notes and Tasks folders
from Exchange to MyBackup.PST
3. Closing down MyBackup.PST file (leaving the "Exchange" side of
Outlook open for normal work)
Since macros cannot be written in Outlook, is there a way to
accomplish this with an Excel Macro and run it from an Excel sheet?
I am a bit unfamiliar with the Outlook object model, so I'm not sure
how it would be coded. Does someone have a code sample?
Thnx.....
