copying data from c drive to dvd or cdwr

I have an emachine windowsxp T3092. I need to know how
to copy a disk from c: to dvd or cdwr without using
Nero. The method I used with HP does not work.
Please help me.

You can write to CD using Windows XP's buuilt in CD writing capabilities.

However, for a DVD, you WILL require some third party application (Nero,
Roxio, some free or pay other software solution.)

And if you are wanting to treat either (CD-RW or DVD-/+RW) as a large
floppy, you will need third party software as well. The web page above also
