I have thwo computers running Win XP Home & MS Outlook
2000 SP-3.

I want to copy all the contacts from one computer to the
other. What is the best way to do this. I have tried
exporting a .pst file with a copy of my contacts folder
in it but was not succesful.

Thanks in advance.

Why don't you just copy your PST file and open it in the other installation?

How do you "open it" in the other installation? The only
way I know is to import, and that doesn't always work.

You can import the contacts in your XP home computer, using the import and export wizerd under the file menu. Export the contacts into an "Excel" file and then go to your other computer, and open outlook, now this time, you are import the contacts from the Excel file you saved earlier. I have tried this and it works.

Good luck
