Copying colour scheme between presentations

Is there a way of copying the colour scheme from one PowerPoint
presentation to another, without also copying all of the design
template as well?

I just want the colours from Presentation 1, leaving the master in
Presentation 2 as it is. When I follow the Help instructions for
copying the colour sheme from 1 to 2, it does copy the colours, but
also resets all the masters in Pres 2 to how they are in Pres 1.
