How can I copy a range of cells (some of which are filled with gray) from one
worksheet to another worksheet without deleting any data that may be in the
same range on the second sheet.

Say the area is from A1 thru B2.

Select A1 thru B2 on the first sheet and:

Edit > Copy

then select cell A1 only on the second sheet and:

Edit > Paste Special > Formats.

Hi,

I think you mean how can you copy a range that contains blank cells and not
delete the target range where the blank cells get pasted"

If that is your question then,
1. Select your range and choose Copy
2. Move to the other range and choose Edit, Paste Special, and check Skip
Blanks.

If this helps, please click the Yes button.

Thanks Gary's , I have given this ago but say within thoes selected cells
that A2 is shaded gray that shading will not come accross for me. How do I
get the shanding to transfer accross as well as the data

Thats correct: some contain data and some are blank and this method works for
those cells, however some cells are also shaded gray. I can't get those cells
to copies accross and be shaded gray on the second sheet.
Can you help
