Copying and pasting on Access

I am having problems copying and pasting to multiple
cells. For example, I need the character "N" in hundreds
of cells. When I highlight the cells and paste, it only
inserts my character in first cell selected, not all cells
that were selected. Please help!

Access is not a spreadsheet so don't treat it as one.

In a database you use an update query for this sort of thing.
 
Look at the help file on "Update Query" That will handle the problem
you have. You can't "paste" into multiple cells in Access. You may also
want to learn about macros, at they may be a good tool for some of your
needs. Last you can "analyze" the data in Excel, where you can use many of
Excel's copy and past features and then bring the edited data back into
Access.
