I am a "newbie" to the MC2004 environment. I am trying to copy a music video cd/dvd then burn a new copy. I have Nero and Sonic software loaded on the Gateway610xl. I can't seem to get it to copy to the hd then burn to a blank cd. Can someone help?

If you have two separate drives; one CD-ROM and one burner, Nero can be set
to copy a disc. If you just have one drive, you'll have to do as you
describe: rip the audio tracks to your hard drive first (as wav files,
preferably,) and then burn them to CD-R afterwards. This CD ripper is very
good and also very much freeware: http://www.cdex.n3.net/ Rip the tracks as
wav files, and then use Nero to burn an "AUDIO" CD from those files.

Ian.
