Copy Word to excel and use Data

Can Word Document be copied to excel then can I use excel to
as an example use the data to Sum or put in formulas.

Hi Steve,

If your Word data are set out in a table, this shouldn't be too difficult,
using copy/paste. If the data isn't in a table, you might find it works best
to convert the data to a table first.

if you have your data in word in a table you can copy & paste the table into
excel and it "should" behave okay .. or you can do (simple) formulas in word
(but you have to copy & paste rather than fill down).

to get to the formulas, click in the cell where you want the answer and
choose Tables / Formulas. By default word generally has a formula in the
form =SUM(left) or =SUM(above) or whatever, however, you can use the "excel"
notation to do slightly more advanced things like =A1*B3 (just pretent you
have the column & row headers like excel) ..
