I can copy wav music from a PowerPoint show I get in an email but
occasionally I get a show that asks for a password when i try to open it as
a presentation. I realize the sender doesn't want anyone to alter the show
but all I want is the music. Is there any way I can extract it from a show?
If it's possible please explain in simple steps because i am not very good
in these things. I am running XP Home and PowerPoint 2003.
Normally I open the show as a Presentation and then save it as a web page. I
then open the folder that contains all the files and the wav file is always
listed last so it's easy to copy and paste elsewhere.
TIA.

Unforunately, you can't. If the file is protected from modifying, you will
not be able to save it as a web page or other formats. The only way is to
seek permission from the owner.

This is what I assumed but I thought perhaps someone knew of a trick for a
workaround. Thanks for the reply. Stan
