Vista - Windows Mail -- I would like to copy my e-mails to a blank cd in
order to save them. What is the best way to do this. TIA MGrace

Create a folder on your Desktop, then in WinMail open the folder with the
messages you want to save. Highlight one message, then Ctrl+A will
highlight them all, (or hold the Ctrl button down while you select only
the messages you want), Now, drag and drop them to the folder on your
Desktop.

Now you can copy that folder to a CD and you will be able to read the
messages on the CD by double-clicking on them.

You may find that messages with the same subject get appended, probably
with (1), (2), etc. See how they look in the Desktop folder first before
copying to see if you like it.

Vista - Windows Mail -- Is there any way to sort "Contacts" by last name?
Why did Microsoft decide to sort by first names???

Right click on the headers of the columns (e.g. name, email address,
etc.

Select "Last name" in the pop up.

The heading "Last Name" will now appear at the right end of the
columns - you might have to scroll to the right to see it.

Hold down the left mouse button over the "Last name" column header and
drag it over to the left - I have mine as the first column but put it
wherever you like.

Click on the "Last name" header and the contacts should sort
themselves alphabetically by last name
