copy subtotals

Hi: I was able to copy the subtotals to another area using the
*total. It worked great. However the cust numbers that correspond to
the subtotals are not showing. Since this file has over 10,000 lines
manually copying the cust# would be a real drag. When you do the
subtotals function in Excel it only shows the numbers on the line and
not any of the names. Am I missing something?? I would appreciate
any help..

If you're only interested in subtotals, take a look at Data|Pivottable.

After about an hour of learning, you'll wonder how you ever lived without it.
