I was moving some files from one computer to another via my network. Everything was going great when it stumbled on a file and reported:

Cannot copy 'filename': Access is denied
Make sure the disk is not full or write protected and that the file is not currently in use

The file is not in use that I can see, my disk is not writeprotected and has plenty of space. Any ideas? Is there an easy way to check if a file is tied up in another program?
thanks in advance

Check to see if you are the owner of the file. Right click file,
Properties, Security Tab. Advanced button at bottom, Owner tab - are you
listed there?

In Windows Help & Support, search on "take ownership" for detailed
instructions and help.
