copy photos to cd

When I try to copy photos (jpeg) from "My Pictures" to CD
I'm having a problem.

It says "writing to cd" and when there is only 5 sec left
it seems to stop... forces me to cancel and the pics
can't be found on the cd.

ANY info would help!!! (v. frustrated!)

If you not getting any error messages (If you are post them) then trying
downloading and install and evl. copy of Nero.

You should check to see if there is a firmware update for the CD-Writer...

just tried to copy pictures to cd for the first time --
had no problem. in eithor my-computer, or in microsoft
search I simply right-clicked on the folder containing
all pictures.. or on the picture itself (they had
extension of JPG) and then clicked on "copy". Then I
brought up my-computer again and right clicked (on
different my-computer task) on the cd-drive and clicked
on paste. everything worked fine
