Do you have third-party burning software installed? If so, it has
probably disabled the built-in Windows burning capability. In that
case, use the third-party software (Nero, Roxio, Sonic). If not, go to
the CD-RW icon in My Computer and right-click on it. Click on the
Recording tab and make sure recording is enabled.

Check the list on the left to see whether the "Picture Tasks" list is
expanded. If not, click on the double down-arrows to the right of
"Picture Tasks", and the menu should appear. Normally, you will now see
"Copy all items to CD." To see "Copy to CD," you must have at least one
item (file or folder) selected on the right.

Check to make sure that you CDRW drive is enabled.
Right click on your CDRW drive, select Properties, Recording tab, Enable.

If that is correct, you could try:-
1. Click on Start
2. Click on Run
3. Type the following in the textbox: REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL
(Note that there is a space between ...32 and SHI...)
4. Press Enter.
