Copy & Paste

From hotmail when I copy and paste the text into Word, each line of text
begins with this ">>" in front. How do I remove this from the text?
Thanx in advance to all.
 
Use Find & Replace to delete the > characters. You can also remove the
spaces associated with them if the number of > characters and spaces is
consistent. Otherwise, after you've removed the > characters, select all the
text and press Ctrl+E, then Ctrl+L. To remove excess line breaks, see
