copy/paste

Using XP sp2, IE7. I have copyed an Item from a website to paste on my
website which worked as it is supose to. Now I am unable to copy anything
else as the cut and copy are greyed out and I can only paste that same item.
How do you remove the item from that function?
 
Hi two_boots, Maybe try paste on your desktop then delete the item in question.
