Not sure I can explain what is happening...I open a new blank (white bg etc)
presentation. I copy some word art from a previous presentation that I want
to use in the new one (same color, etc) but when I paste it to the new
presentation the color is from a previous one that I worked on several days
ago. Where have I messed up? Can anyone help? Thanks

Thanks for the quick response guys. Using PowerPoint 2003. Okay, I have a
presentation that sometimes I like to use side one and the last slide (sort
of my trade mark opening and closing slides) in a new presentation. In the
past I have been able to right click the little slide there on the left,
right click copy, then go to my new presentation and paste without having to
re-do any formatting or anything. However now when I do a paste, the
colors (blue) are from an older presentation that I have used and I have to
re-format all over again. Now Steve, you are correct. When I click paste,
what I copied is there in that blue color with what looks like a little clip
board at the lower right corner. It gives me two options, 1)Keep source
formatting or 2)Use design template formatting. No sweat, I figured those
out and can end up with what I want. This has just recently happening and
looks like use design formatting is the default. Can it be reset to use,
keep source formatting instead? If not, I can live with it since I now know
what to do. Thanks again.
