I have a database with approx. 35,000 records in it. I
am able to export the data from the database into Excel
without a problem. If I copy all of the records and try
and paste them into Excel it works the first time, but
fails on the second attempt. During the second attempt
the CPU utilization goes to 99% with MSACCESS.EXE. I
have tried converting the database to Access 2002,
compacting and repairing the database, and running
Jetcomp.exe. The client OS is Windows XP, Office Suite
is XP. We are not having any problems with the database
on our Windows NT/Office 97 clients.
The only way I have been able to make it work on the
second attempt is to restart the PC (terminating the
MSACCESS.EXE process is not enough). I also checked the
Office Clip Board and it was empty.
Any ideas?
Thanks, Joe
