Shortly after connecting to the internet with DSL, the
Win2000 clipboard appears to be unusable until the computer
is rebooted.

I haven't had enough time to examine the details. If
anyone else has seen this problem, what is it? Also, does
anyone have a the name(s) of dll's a Cut/Copy/Paste calls?

You are most likely targeted by a worm (Welchia/Blaster), I a am not mistaken,
a failing copy/paste is one side effect from the worm...

Start with patching your computer so this type of worm that exploits the RPC
flaw can't infect you (again).

Download patch from here:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=824146

(at the same time, you should install this one as well:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/MS03-043.asp )

After you have patched your computer and rebooted, to cleanup the worm that
might already has infected you:

I would recommend that you run a cleanup tool, e.g. Stinger.exe from McAfee, it

removes 30+ virus/worms in one sweep, including all MSBlaster variants (McAfee
name W32/Lovsan.worm), Welchia (McAfee name W32/Nachi.worm) and Sobig.f
