As stated above, my Copy, Paste & Cut functions are working intermittently.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't and it is very frustrating
especially when you have urgent email to reply and you need to quote on some
part of previous conversation or resource from the web.

This system is running on Window XP (SP2) and it is only a month old. Our
company ordered it from Acer.

No, I have not tried with other peripherals as the mouse and keyboard are
working well. Only in the copy & pasting area then the operation failed.

MS Office 2000 seems to be the only software installed on this computer.
Fuji Xerox printer driver if that matters.

User reported that she was having problem especially when using Outlook 2000
for emailing.

Is the mouse wired or wireless?

What method are you using to copy and paste? There is more than one way
to carry out the operation.

Can you isolate the problem to a particular programme? You mention
Outlook but do you get the same problem in Word, in Excel and in Windows
Explorer?

Hi Gerry,

The mouse is an optical wired mouse.

I've tried using the shortcut keys (CTRL+C, CTRL+V, CTRL+X) as well as using
the mouse right click and choose Copy, Paste or Cut.

I've tried opening Word and type a few sentences in there, copied the text
and tried to paste it into a new email (in Outlook) but it's not working. So
I re-did it again and still not working. On the 3rd try, somehow it worked.

I've also tried to do the same thing via Notepad. Sometimes it work,
sometimes it work. This problem seems to be an intermittent one.

I've not tried Excel or IE yet because the user doesn't seem to be using
them much. Word is of higher frequency compared to those two.

Try a test not involving Outlook.

Hi Gerry,

Apparently, the same problem happened with other programs as well. Not only
limited to Outlook alone.
