When I tried to install Roxio CD creator, I got the message "The installation
software did not find at least one supported drive in this computer system."

When I tried to copy a CD I got "CD copier cold not detect any supported CD
recorders, please ensure your CD recorder is properly conected. If problem
persists please reinstall CD creator.

I can play a CD in either place, so it is hooked up to something. Anyone,
Please HELP

Thanks

one slot says DVD ROM and the other says compact disc rewritable. It says
cdrw on the front of the tower. I think something didn't get hooked up. I can
play CDs in both slots.

If you can play, they are hooked OK.
I'd try to reinstall the CDRW - uninstall it first from Device Manager, then
reboot and XP will find it. Just make sure you get the correct drivers (if
any provided).
Also, try to burn from WMP10 and see if XP recognizes the drive as CDRW.
Another thing to try is to install Adaptec's aspi drivers; go to Adaptec.com
for info.

Either the CD Burner does not work correctly, or it is not installed
properly - XP does not recognize it as such.
For the first, pull it out and take it to a shop or test it in another
machine.
For the second, install the correct drivers - should come with the machine
on a CD or should be on manufacturer's web site.
