Copy form with subforms, change copy without changing original fo

I have a form with 3 subforms. I want to use the same format, and some of
the linked tables, in a new form so I use copy and paste to create a new
form. When I delete one of the subforms in the copy, the subform is also
deleted from my original form.

How do I link the new form to some different tables, without altering my
original form?

Subforms are Forms independently in their own right. When you copied the
Main Form, the Forms being used as the Subforms are not copied.

You need to copy the Main Form AND the three Subforms. In the DesignView of
the new copy of the Main Form, select each SubformCONTROL and then change
the SourceObject to the new copy of the Subform.
