Copy Files to Vista Machine

I have a external HD adapter with a XP HD in it attached to a new vista utl
laptop.

When I try and copy the files over it says i dont have the correct rights to
the source drive..

I do I copy this info over ? I am just looking to get the files,

Hi,

Take ownership. Right click the folder, click properties. Go to the security
tab, you will need to edit permissions and on the ownership tab change them
to your user account.
