Maybe I am missing something obvious, but can anyone tell me how I copy to
the clipboard, the filename of any file that I can see and select in the
right pane of a Windows Explorer display, so that I can subsequently paste
that filename into a document?
I hope I have explained that unambiguously.
TIA

Right Click the File you want to copy the name of and choose properties.
Under the general tab - near the top of the window - shows the file name.
Highlight it and Ctrl-C to copy. Go to the Document - place the cursor
where you want to paste the file name and Ctrl-V to paste.
