I have windows xp on an E-Machine and it has crashed
three times. I have to spend about 5 or 6 hours down-
loading the upgrades and all. I would to know the formula
for copying the whole hard drive to myc-d burner so when
another crash or glitz occurrs , I can just reinstall
everything I had to start with. I tried to copy but I
don't know how to tell the computer to ask for another
CD. Please Help! Thanks Bill

Navigate to the Windows Update site and click "Personalize Windows Update".
Then check the "Display the link to the Windows Update Catalog under See
Also". Then you can click the "Windows Update Catalog". On that page is a
link called "Find updates for Microsoft Windows operating systems". Click
this and select "Windows XP SP1" from the drop down menu. Click "Search".
You should see 111 downloads for XP. Select one of the groups that appears.
You'll get a list of updates that you can add to a "Download Basket".
Download the updates you want to your hard drive, then burn them on a CD for
use at a later date if you need to reinstall.
