Hi,
For my previous post,I received the reply:

Make a backup of both the program and the split data.
Then open the backup
program and change the linked tables to point at the
backup data location.
You will have to check the box to always prompt for new
location in order to
browse to the backup data.

This way your backup program can be used to view the
backup data.

Hope this helps.
-------------------------

I copied both front-end and back-end databases and put
them to new location (I drive).
Then,I open the copy front-end database which has linked
talbes and go to TOOL/Database Utilities/Linked Table
Manager(try to link the tables to front-end database at I
drive). I checked the box to always prompt for new
location . The problem is the LINKED TABLE MANAGER is
empty, It don't have any tables.
Any ideas?

Thank you very much
Loi

I thought you said your database was split? When you look at your tables,
are there arrows before them? That indicates that they are linked. If there
are no arrows, then your tables reside in that database.

This may be something you need to verify on the original database also to
make sure your program and data are separate.
