When I try to copy calendar items from the sharepoint calendar to outlook
calendar I receive message "You don't have appropriate permission to perform
this operation"
This is a new problem, I was able to do so a couple of weeks ago.
How to solve?

Hi hfpelfreez,

I am just about to create a new entry myself.
There are 2 methods to work around this but both are rather nasty.
This error occured after you installed the Service Pack 2 of Office 2003.
And you can either uninstall that, or you doubleclick on the event you're
planning on copying and click on "copy into personal calender" then click
"save and close"
(maybe save and exit, I dunno, I just translated it from german).
Hope I could help!
And a happy new year...

Paul

When I try clicking on 'copy into personal calender', I get the same "You
don't have appropriate permission to perform this operation'.

Yeah, I get that message as well, but then I click on "save and
(exit/close)"(I dont know the exact english term) and even after this
message outlook copies it into my personal calendar. Try it out...

Paul,
Thank you. After answer the half dozen error messages it does work.
Wonderful programing.
Thanks again.

Hi Gregg,
No worries! I still don't see that problem solved though. It is indeed a
brilliant piece of code they deliverd us in the office service pack 2. I
intended to write M$ about this, but I could not find any adress which would
not make me pay for my query. Even though it is more of a suggestion to have
a look at their product again... Anyways, I can pretty much guarantee you
that uninstalling the 2. Service Pack for Office does solve the problem and
you do not have to take the detour with the dozen error messages. Funniest
thing about them is that the first one says your not to copy this element and
the second one tells you to copy it...

If you here something new, please let me know!

Later,
Paul.
