I've been shooting and posting our Track Meets.
http://www.youtube.com/ps56k
When I've added a blue screen title, there is no audio,
and I was wondering how I can grab the audio from
the included video clip and paste it into the timeline for the blue title slide
?

Most of the audio is just background crowd white noise
and I would like to grab some and paste into the timeline
for when the blue title slides play...... not using title overlay here...

tnx for any ideas

In Windows Movie Maker 2.1....
To save only the audio track of a video clip...
drag the video to the "Audio/Music" track.
Then go to...File / Save Movie File / ect...ect......

This will result in a .wma audio file. Be sure
to drag the clip all the way to the left on the
timeline or you will have dead air at the
beginning.

Also...while you are still editing a project...
you can drag a video clip to the Audio/Music
track and use it like any other sound file.
This track allows the audio file to be dragged
left or right.

perfect !!!

I just dragged one of the short video clips
to the Audio/Music bar - and pasted it there - for the blue title slide.

I would appear that the audio track from video clip
superceeds the "background" audio/music track
and everything seems to be ok.

If you only want the sound from the
Audio/Music track...you may want
to right click/mute the Audio track
or both will be playing.

yeah - I think I wound up doing that,
but hard to tell
since both were basically the same crowd noise.
