I often need to write letters so need to copy and paste name, company,
address into a Word Document. This is a really tedious process as it
involves three separate copy and paste operations. Is there an easier way to
do this?

Sounds like a mail merge. Have you tried that process?

Mail merge is great if you need to write the same letter to many recipients,
but it is very clumsy if just for one recipient, and it is very difficult to
set up to use with custom templates.

In Outlook, I can choose a contact, then select "send email", or "call
contact" - so why not "send letter"? It would be great if there was a
button in Outlook that would allow me to easily copy and paste
name/company/adress into one of my own letter templates.

If you just need a few addresses, create a card view with just the fields
you need, then select it and paste special.

For a lot, use mail merge.
