Hi,
I am running Windows XP Professional on two systems, and I remote desktop
into one using the other. I have a recurring problem wherein I am unable
to copy and paste files, text, etc in the remote session. I can drag-copy
files, but any attempt to use ctrl-c/ctrl-v or the copy/paste menu commands
results in nothing happening. The odd thing is everything works properly
when the remote system is freshly booted. However, over time, the
aforementioned capabilities are lost. Reconnecting with the client does
not rectify the problem, but performing a logout/reboot on the remote
system does.
I noticed a couple previous posts in this group regarding similar problems,
although in my case the copy and paste commands are not grayed out in the
menu - they simply don't do anything. My main concern is to restore ctrl-
c/ctrl-v functionality, since I use this feature regularly (when available
). At any rate, it doesn't look as though these previous cases were
resolved, so if anybody has some fresh insight into the problem, it would
be much appreciated. Thank you.
