Problem: when copying and pasting a text box with black type from one
presentation to another, the text changes to "white" and not black like the
original.

If I create a text box, the text IS 'white'. Is there a way to set or
change the default type (size, color, alignment?) in a presentation?

I created a text box in the presentation, entered the preferred text (size,
font, color, etc) and checked the 'make default' box at the bottom.... but
when I create a new text box - the type continues to be white and any text
box I copy and paste in comes in white..... help is appreciated

Which version of PowerPoint? Create a sample textbox as you did, but
right-click on it and choose to set it as a standard.

Best regards,
