Copy and Paste problems

I hope someone is able to help. The problem manifests itself in copy/paste
activity. When I highlight a cell then click on the copy command, the
spreadsheet whites out and stops working. Does anyone have a clue what is
happening. Using Office 2007.

First, I have no idea.

But lots of problems in excel (and windows) are caused by misbehaving printer
drivers. Can you close excel, change printers and then retest.

Please post back with your results.

Many thanks for quick reply Dave. I will certainly give that a go and will
get back to you on it.

A friend has suggested that the problem might be because the graphics
capability may be inadequate. So just as a precaution, I'm getting a new
graphics card too. Will keep you posted on both.

I'd try the different printer driver first--just because it's easier.

Then I'd fiddle with the graphics properties of the existing card before
installing new hardware (or even try a new driver for the existing card???).

Make sure you write down any settings before you change them. I know my memory
will fail when I need to put things back.
