copy and paste only works in first screen

At my office pc, (XP Home) when i copy and paste, it only seems to work o
hold its contents to one screen or app change away. If I copy text, the
wander between a few screens or apps, i loose the copied info. All othe
pc's i use, i can paste my heart away, long after i left the app or screen i copied from. Any thoughts as to why i loose m
copy paste ability between several apps. It seems to work fine as long as I use it in the next window app i go to. If i have to click to more than one window (app), then it looses its contents.

It works fine on the first app i may go to, but if i change screen
(applications running) i all together loose what the clipboard was holding

I figured out today, that its within Outlook 2002. I will research this at
the outlook group.
