Copy and paste error

I am getting the following error when I try to copy 10,000 records, 6 columns wide from Excel 2003 to Access 2003 using the copy and paste method: "File sharing lock count exceeded. Increase MaxLocksperfile registry entry". Where should I go to increase the entry

I'd suggest avoiding the issue by using a different technique.

Use File... Get External Data... Import to import the spreadsheet into
a table rather than copying and pasting; or use File... Get External
Data.. Link and run an Append query.

The MaxLocksPerFile is a Windows registry setting; if you're not the
system administrator... see the system administrator.
