Hi,

Trying to copy and Paste a command still.

Up and arrow keys don't seem to do anything.

Any more advice?

Thanks

Hi Abigail,

there is a true copy and paste if you change the properties of the cmd-
window. See options tab and check mark quick-edit mode and insert mode.
To copy move the mouse cursor to the starting point and keep holding the
left mouse button, draw to the endpoint relase the button and hit enter.
The makred rectangle is copied to the clipboard.

To paste click the right button.

The arrow up down to recall previous typed commands is limited to the
running cmd.exe.

There are some tools to deal with the clipboard. You may direct output
to the clipboard resp. get input from there. They are named winclip.exe
clip.exe or clipboard.exe.

I'm in doubt which way fits your needs.

Make sure you are using CMD.EXE as your command processor,
not COMMAND.COM.

Also, the up/down arrow keys do not do anything until you have actually
typed some commands manually.

On my keyboard, it makes a very satisfying "click" sound.
