I am trying to copy an ACCESS database contructed on one
computer to another computer on a different server by
copying it to a cd. However, the copied database is read-
only. How can I make it not just read-only but editable?

Many thanks!

When you burn a file to a CDR, it's formatted as Read
Only. If you copy it to a PC, you can open the file's
properties (right-click on the file in MyComputer) and un-
check the Read-Only flag.

Hope this helps!

Go to Windows Explorer and browse to the file. Right click on the file. Open
Properties. At the bottom under Attributes, uncheck Read-Only.

Thanks for the message.
When I right click to open properties and try to uncheck
the readonly, I receive a note that says errors occurred
when applying attributes to the file. I already have done
this many times. It did not work.
