I have a Powerpoint document that has an embedded link from an Excel
spreadsheet. I want to copy this to a cd so it can be transferred to other
computers, but it needs to retain those links. Is there a way to copy this so
that the link continues to work on the CD or on the new computer? (Microsoft
office 2003)

Excel spreadsheets can be embedded or linked. Not both. There's no such
critter as an embedded link.

If the Excel stuff is embedded, there's no problem. It's part of your PPT file.
If it's linked, things get more complicated.

Try using Package for CD (and package to a folder rather than to CD). That may
help sort the links out so they're not so breakable.
