I have a new Vista desktop that has PowerPoint 2003 on it. Now I can view
all the lovely slide presentations that friends have sent to me. Is there
any way I can copy one slide so I can save it onto my computer and use it on
my desktop? That's the only way I would use it. Or if I have to get the
originator's permission, is his contact info shown somewhere in the
presentation?
Thanks, Granny Becky

Whaley,
Do this, open the presentation, click on the slide you want to use as the
background of your desktop. Click on the office-button, choose save as, in
the save as list choose a format such as jpg, png, click save. You will be
asked if you want to save the current slide or all slides choose current
slide.
Now go to your desktop, right-click it, choose adjust personal settings,
choose, desktop, browse to your picture and take it from there.
If you only use it on your desktop I do not think there are any copyright
issues.
His information may or may not be found in the presentations properties.
Office-button - prepare - properties - in the task pane at the top info can
be present or not.
