Copy a meeting request?

Is it possible to copy someone on a meeting request without actually inviting
them to the meeting? The only option seems to be to make them "optional", but
this compels them to accept or reject the meeting.

Quite often I am setting up a meeting at the request of a boss, and I want
to copy him or her on the request so they know I've done what they asked. But
they don't actually need to come to the meeting, and I always find I have to
go over and explain to them that I'm copying them but they don't need to
come. Seems like a waste of time!

No, there's no really good way to do this. The best I've found is to reply to the appointment in my calendar. Intuitive, huh?

Thanks Sue.

What is the correct way to make this a "suggestion" for Microsoft? It's one
of those things that drives me nuts...but I can't figure out how to do it
through the forums.

Since you're apparently posting through the web interface, you should see an option to post a suggestion in the same place you see an option to ask a question.

That's what I thought, but I don't - I only see Question and Comment. Comment
doesn't seem to do it.

Maybe there's something off with my settings...thanks anyway!
