Hallo

I'm a beginner and I want to copy a datafile off 3,6 GB to a DVD+RW. I use
Explorer to do that (right clicking on the file and choose copy to CD). When
I start the Wizard to actually burning the file I receive the message that
there is no CD in my drive (but there is). I think that my OS is not capable
off copying to such a disc (1x-4X). But I do not know what to do. Any ideas?

Thanks - An

I don't believe that XP can burn to DVD's with its native burning
capability. What DVD burning software do you normally use?

As Malke posted you need third party software to burn to DVD. In addition to
that you will need burning software that can burn in the UDF format in order
to burn files that are larger than 2 GB. If you have Nero ( www.nero.com )
select the option to write to DVD and then use the option to Create a
DVD-Rom UDF.

Please note that is not the same as using InCD or other packet writing
software.
