Copied formulas

I recently grouped worksheets within the same workbook together to facilitate printing. The worksheets were ungrouped after printing. We're having trouble copying formulas from one cell to another. The formulas copy correctly, however, the data that displays is from the original cell, not the cells referenced in the formula. Additionally, when data changes in the cells the formula points to, no changes are recognized. Any ideas?

Are you sure that you don't have calculation set to manual? Choose
Tools/Options/Calculation from the Excel menu and make sure the Automatic
option is selected.

I have encountered very similar problem where I update
data in one tab and another tab that references those
updated cells does not get updated. Calculation is set to
automatic. If I go into cell to edit formula it will then
get updated. I have encountered this in two different
files were created with a previous version of Excel in the
last week since we upgraded to Excel 2003.

We have recently upgarded too. I'll continue to validate the data generated to be sure they are updating. Once I set the formula calculations to automatic, they seemed to work fine. Thanks, Nanninore

I and some of my coworkers run into the same problem, except that our
Calculation options are already set to Automatic. This doesn't happen
consistently; some times it works fine, other times it doesn't. It happens
on old spreedsheets created in Excel 2000 as well as brand new ones. We all
use Excel 2003 now. Any other ideas?
