WHat kind of an overclock can I get out of a Barton 2500+ on the retail
HSF? I'm gonna get a case with 6 fans (4 in front, 2 in back, not
including power supply fans) and I figure there's gonna be a ton of air
flow. I wouldnt mind using the retail HSF and letting my processor run a
bit hotter than usual.. Living in Canada, it might even help my heating
bill :)

Comments? Suggestions?

Well I got a stock AMD barton 2500+ with the bog standard heatsink and
fan, and mine overclocks fine to 11 x 175 = 2.1Mhz

8-)

So you clocked your Barton 2500+ to a 2600+ (while throwing your AGP and
memory out of spec) ... proud of yourself? (Athlon XP 2600+ = 2133Mhz
(2.13GHz))

Runs hot doesn't it?

BTW, the 2500+ is the slowest Barton core available. It should be easily
able to handle speeds higher than you've got ... assuming an adequate heat
solution.
