cookies

I keep deleting cookies in my ie6, but when i go to the
address bar, i type a letter, and the previous websites
still come up. I also keep deleting my temp internet
files and history, but they are still there.

plese help!

If you cleared history then this should take care of it.
Try going to Tools >> Internet Options >> Clear History.

If not then you can click on Advanced. If this is coming up
when you type in the address then there is an option just
above the HTTP settings that says Inline AutoComplete. Try
unchecking these and see if it works for you then.

Possibly your History folder is corrupt:
[XP\2K]
Log on as Administrator and delete the desired <username> folder(s).

"C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\HISTORY"
