I've got the same issue that many seem to have. If I go to select sites
(newegg.com, pizzahut.com) I get error messages that I need to enable
cookies, but not on other sites. I've deleted all my cookies, temporary
internet files and made sure Java is enabled etc. I've logged in as another
user, and then deleted the cookie folder under my userID (while in the other
profile, everything worked fine which tells me it's my profile somewhere...).
When I re-logged in as me, it re-created my cookies folder and still no
joy... After reviewing the posts, I've also disabled my firewall (Zone Alarm
Pro), MS Anti-Spyware, ensured my Time/Date is correct, and reviewed the
following articles:

Q175662 - Error Message Not Accepting Cookies:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;[LN];Q175662
299331 - Web Site Reports That You Must Enable Cookies:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=299331
Q315207 - Error Message Cannot Open Webpage Because Cookies Are Not Enabled:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q315207
Q317689 - Error Message Your Browser Is Not Currently Set to Accept Cookies:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;q317689

The only thing I haven't completed from the list above is that in article
Q175662, method 5, it says to "change the "1A02" value under the appropriate
key in
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\InternetSettings\Zones"
Which Key, and what do I change it to? It's current value is "0" for all
keys except Zone 4, which is set to "3".

The only thing left that I can think of is to "kill" my entire profile and
then re-create it.

Thanks!

I believe you may find that IE6 is blocking the cookies - look for a little
no-entry sign on the status bar just right of centre, and double-click it.
However, be warned that even though I tell it to never block cookies (I have
external cookie management software), it still blocks some - luckily none
that I care about.

Put the sites in your Trusted zone. Remember to uncheck the box to require
https.

Added the sites to my trusted site list and it didn't work, but I found that
if I turn cookie security to "Accept All Cookies" in my profile, I am able
place orders etc on these sites... However, on the other profiles on my
system I do not need to do this and can leave cookies set to "medium." Which
is my preference (actually custom settings are my preference - Accept First
Party, Prompt for Others - but I'll take what I can get.

At Tools | Internet Options | Privacy | Sites you can set specific sites to
Allow (all cookies).

Thanks, this did it. When I went to 'Tools | Internet Options | Privacy |
Sites " I found that both of these sites were already listed in there and
identified as "Always Block." I just removed them from the list and all is
well now.
