Is there a way to keep some cookies but delete others? I know you can do it
cookie by cookie but I was hoping there was some procedure like the pop up
blockers "trusted sites". It would make my life easier.

MS Internet Explorer? Tools > Options > Internet Properties. Privacy tab.
You can establish the settings with the "Advanced..." butto, and/or you can
override the settings with the Edit button in the "Web Sites" section.

Other browser vary about the configuration options location.
