Is there a freeware cookie program that actually stops all cookies from
going on your drive & then lets you decide which to keep. Everyone I've
tried so far lets a certain amount thru. Ck under tool options etc &
there allways are some there that didnt get caught... TIA Gimpy

Use Firefox and then get the Cookie Button extension. You can then set
the default to no cookies and then allow then selectively for each
site. Added it today to my PC. Great.
E-mail address, hopefully self-explanatory

IE can do this as well...no plugin required. I block all but session cookies
and few sites that I need them for.

Ah, but do you have a neat little ' Cookie icon ' that sits on the
toolbar letting you know what's happening and able to set preference
easliy ?

I get a little icon in the status bar showing when cookies are blocked. If I
click on it I get the preferences dialog and can change it there. Is that
what you meant?

Yes I guess so. You get a ' cookie ' with a green tick if you've
already OK'd the site. A red tick if you're blocking a cookie, along
with a drop down option list.

I only get the icon if the cookie is blocked. FWIW My icon is an eye with a
circle and a line through it.
