Cookies and how it saves pictures.

Recently, i had to restore my computer to an earlier date
because of some complications i had. I had to delete all
of my computer cookies. Once i did that i went back on
the internet and tried to save some pictures but it was
saying "save as:.art file" i cant view art files, i
want ".bmp" and i i cant chage it on the save as drop
down menu, can someone help me please!!!!

ART files are an AOL format. You can ALWAYS press the Print Screen/SysRq button
your computer keyboard at any time whatsoever to capture an image from the
screen. Then, you can open Windows XP's version of Paint and "paste" the image.
The, you can cut and paste as you please. Then, you can "Save As" to a myriad
of file-formats.

Knowing the kind of mysterious "complications" that necissitated your "restore"
would probably be VERY helpful.
