Hello,

We are trying to troubleshoot a very strange issue. We
have a website that was built that has an admin section
for the client. The client just goes to the admin
section to add and update prodcuts in the database using
simple forms and front-end update options. Makes it easy
for them to run theri business. It has been up in its
current form for just over one year.

Recently, the admin section started acting up (around
December 6th) when the client tries to access from any of
the three computers at his work. The behavior became
progresively worse until the last few days, the forms do
not work at all. When you make a change to a product
listing, and hit the next button, you get logged out of
the site. This happens consistenly when you try to
update any data in the admin section.

Here is the really strange part. The logging out happens
on all three machines at work for him, plus his home
computer, and on three other test people we used. The
only common link -- they all use Verizon DSL as their
ISP.

When testing on other machines, using other ISPs, it
works all the time, everytime. We cannot make it fail
using all the same procedures and settings.

More weirdness - we installed Netscape Navigator on one
of the work PCs just to see if it would work, and it
did. Then we cleared the cookies in IE on that machine
and it worked. Then we moved to another machine their at
the client's work (no Navigator installed) and cleared
the cookies. It did not work. The machine with
Navigator installed, and we are using IE for our updates,
has worked all night. What could possibly cause that?
And the ISP part throws us all for a loop.

The only thing that makes any sense is that it is a
cookie related issue at some level, but the erratic
bahavior is confusing to us.

Any ideas on what we should look at and troubleshoot with
next? All PCs used are XP with IE 6.0.

Thanks,
Jason

There's a good possibility that this is being caused by a third-party
program (adware, spyware, parasite).

This one in particular will target the form entry.
Some delays are also experienced.
