Hi gurus

I need help and here is the problem. I have a 2007 access database, one
table, I saved this 2007 as 2000 database as one of the client has access
2000 and need this information.

When he tries to open the 2000 converted database he gets the following error

"MS access was unable to create the database window. Please upgrade to a
newer version of microsoft IE

what does IE has to do with this.

Thanks a bunch for the help

Might look at references in the datafile. 2007 might of changed it to newer
version which his system doesn't have. My guess only.

Hi,

That is odd. Maybe some kind of stealth usage of IE by Access. It
could be that Access needs a newer version of a file that also ships with IE.
If the client is still using the eight year old Access 2000, maybe a lot of
other things are out of date on the client's computer. So, did the client
upgrade to the most recent of IE? Did that make a difference? If not, did
the client try making sure that Office 2000 was as up-to-date as possible?
If all else fails, provide the table in an Access 2007 database and have the
client get the Access 2007 Runtime from Microsoft's web site. See
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...d9-9dc6-4b38-9fa6-2c745a175aed&displaylang=en
for the English version. You can get other language versions from there
also. It is free.
